"This book gives voice to the characters, real and imaginary, whose love and deep attachments to a great but deeply wounded city should be immediately understandable with one bite." - Anthony Bourdain

Please mark your calendars; call the restaurant for a reservation: On Wednesday, October 2nd we welcome Lolis Eric Elie, author of the newly released TREME cookbook.
Lolis is an award-winning staff writer and story editor for the HBO series TREME. During our stay in New Orleans his talents shown thru as a columnist for the Times Picayune and since in published articles in Gourmet, Saveur, Bon Appétit to name a few. He uses the voices of the series main characters to highlight the culinary culture that has helped form “The Big Easy” into a well known food destination.
Many of the cities fantastic talents as well as chefs from across the states submitted recipes, myself included. On this particular Wednesday evening as we serve our Louisiana inspired specials we will also roll out a special prix fix menu highlighting 5 of my favorite recipes from the book. I poured thru the book this weekend falling deep into a food coma as I daydreamed of the flavors in a city I so dearly miss. I am putting the finishing touches on the menu this week, I will post it as soon as it is complete. There will be copies of this wonderful book for purchase as well as the man himself, Lolis on site to chat it up and even sign your copy if you’d like. I can hardly wait.
